 Thank You Healthy Betta
« Thread Started on Jun 2, 2006, 9:54am »

I just wanted to say thank you to Healthy Betta/Rachel for providing a website that helped so many people including myself with proper fish care and providing a forum for pet lovers to just chat. I will really miss talking to all of you after June 15th. :'( I have met so many nice people on this site and will never forget all of you. :)

This forum has been invaluable to me (and I'm sure countless other betta keepers) I enjoy it so much, and will miss checking it daily for new posts -- thanks for keeping it on the web as a resource. Thanks to Rachel and the mods for maintaining such a quality site over the years, and for all the work that it takes to run something such as this.

I will miss all of you!

Even though I am only an "egg," I am sad that the forums are going away! Veterans: are there plans to meet at an alt site while Rachel takes some time off? I don't want to LOSE this amazing resource, or a place to post new questions as they arise. If there are OTHER betta forums out there that we can go to in the interim, I'd sure appreciate info on where they are.

Rachel, thank you so much for a great resource for those of us new to bettas to rub shoulders with those who know so much. I hope that whatever caused you to make that hard decision resolves itself so that we can all come HOME soon!

Happy summer, all.

Thank you to all for the wonderful compliments. ;D It's nice to hear you've enjoyed your time here, and have benefited from the forum and the work that has gone into it by staff.

Just to clarify and avoid any confusion, I'm not just taking a break, but the forum is closing. There will not be another forum, temporary or permanent, associated with the Healthy Betta website. There is a very slim possibility that in the future I will reopen the forum, but it is unlikely so please do not count on it happening.

The website, however, will still be around and new content will eventually be added. The forum will also still be here, as a reference. For any betta questions that arise, I think you'll find that if you take a few minutes to look back at past threads or use the search feature at the top of the forum, most of your questions could be answered. At this point we have years worth of topics on the forum and many of the same questions have been asked and answered a few different times. While this might not always be the case for a particular question, between the website and the forum I'm sure you can find something to guide you in the right direction. :)
