Hmmm, here a question. As many of you know, Mr Fish hasn't been eting for a couple of days. I took the gravel off the bottom of his hospital tank a few days ago, to keep my eye open for any fish poop (to use in his 5g cycling tank) Now each time I feed him, when he spits the food back out I quickly suck them up with a turkey baster. So they never have time to sit on the bottom of his tank and rot. But just now, as I was giving him a small water change, I noticed a small dark brown ball on the bottom of his tank. It looked kind of fluffy. I've sucked it up with the baster and took a good look at it. It defenently isn't a piece of food gone bad (not the right color and/or size). Is this possibly his poop? I kind of always assumed his poop would me long black strands. So what could it be? I gave him a pea yesterday and scooped out all remains.

It is definately poo. I recall someone saying how Betta poo is "comma shaped" but it isn't long and stringy like you would think.
