Well, right now I have a 15 gallon Eclipse aquarium with one female betta and 3 zebra danios...they get along just fine...the betta always gets food...but that would be something you would want to watch because zebra danios can be little piggies that hog all the food and since they are so much faster than the betta they could eat all the food before the betta even gets to the top of the tank...I suppose it really depends on the betta's personality whether or not they will except other fish...

I have three, long-finned, gold zd's in a 20-gal tank. Soon, when I have the courage, they will be joined by my 6 female bettas. I read somewhere that zd's make good tankmates for female bettas. (Supposedly, their "zippy & zappy" mannerisms distract overly aggressive female bettas, lessening the tank turmoil.)
Yes, zd's are fast. And, yes, they sure are little piggies! I'm hoping I can distract them on one end of the tank with food, while my betta girls fight over their food at the other end! We'll see...
