I just got 3 cory cats last night, and they are the COOLEST fish... just thought I'd tell y'all that.

I would post pics if the camera was decent, but it's not and they move too fast. The pet store didn't have any pygmy cories (otherwise I would have gotten those) but I'm thinking that they're either ornate corydoras:  or agassizi cories  I've got them in a 5 gallon tank that a friend gave me. yeah, I know, it's probably a bit small for them, but those will be the only fish that will be in there, and it's the only tank that I have availible until I get out of school. |

How big are they now, and how big will they get? And, since this forum is Healthy BETTA, by "the coolest fish," I assume you mean "except for bettas", right?  |

they're about 1.5" now, and will get to 2.5". And yes, "except for bettas" they're the coolest fish.

These guys are absolutely nuts. They're nocturnal, so they do most of their shenanigans during the night (like after 7PM). I've got sand in their tank, and sometimes, one will knock the other into the sand, then they chase each other around. Then there's one that burrows in the sand all the way to the bottom of the tank (1")! sweeet little fish.

I have a 10 gallon aquarium and two of the inhabitants are little albino corydoras. They are the cutest little fellows. Playing chase,and crashing into the other fish. It looks like a perpetual Chuck E Cheese birthday party!

I love cories too In my guppy fry tank, I have one panda, one albino, and one emerald and I love them. They hang out by this rock thing in the tank. Today, I bought 3 spotted cories for my 29 gallon. They have found a hide out spot beneath this castle thing we bought today. I want to get a few more for that tank since they have become one of my favorite fish. |
