Splashes' Big Day: Moving Day!!! :) (photo!)

Yipee! Today is the Big Day for Splashes! ;D He just made the Big Move from his 1 gal hospital tank into his long-awaiting 2.5 gal Minibow cycled tank! He is taking his time exploring everything. He seems a bit aprehensive. We've been waiting for this day for 3 months!

Of course, the first place he heads is straight for the filter, swims down and under it by the intake/impeller! I was so afraid he would get his fins sucked in. But I have the filter on low and it didn't even show signs of sucking up his fins. Thank goodness!

So, Splashes is now in his new home. Hurray! ;D Let's hope he stays free of the columnaris and stays healthy.

Great news! ;D Glad to hear things are finally looking up for him (and you ). I'm sure he'll be delighted with the new tank. Let us know how things go.

I think he's going to be exhausted tomorrow for all his swimming about and exploring tonight! ;D He's one happy guy!

When my guy got put in his new tank, he swam around the filter intake area a lot too just that I wasn't as worried cause the filter is a really soft filter and the intake isn't that strong. he tends to just sit by the intake. Seems to be his favorite place.
Congrats on the move. I'm sure splashes is really enjoying the new space that he has ;D.

Yeah, I have it set on really low and it is gentle, but I've heard the horror stories and panicked anyway!

He's having a blast in there! My son picked out a skull as his hidey hole, so he's always swimming in and out the eyes! I need to post the pics, but my fotki site is about full (free membership).

He's working on his first bubble nest in his new tank. ;D I guess he's happy!

Thanks! My son is into the pirate stuff (7 yrs old) and picked the skull hidey, shark and treasure chest. ;D
