Ok this is weird just latley my betta has been jumping in the water. I heard some splasing latley but i just saw him jump. He sits starting up out of the water and then jumps up. I have no idea why he is doing this all of a sudden. I have a lid on the tank so he cant get out but im worried that he might hurt himseld if he hits the lid or if he lands on the plants that are resting at the surface. Any idea why he is doing this all of a sudden?  |

Mine (both) do this occasionally and I found the cause a bit easily. Sometimes there is a small flake stuck on the glass lid after the feeding, and if it is visible, they try to catch it.

Yah i noticed that he seems to be looking at his own bubbles that he makes along the tank rim.
