Would it be possible to have a list of some fish stores that can ship overseas or have this mentioned in the links section if one of these links can do this? I've visited half of these sites listed in the links, but most of them just ships to USA and Canada, if not all of them...
We can find most of the goodies mentioned everywhere in our stores (like all Tetra foods for example), but there are some specific things (some meds and conditioners) that are a bit harder to find here or are much more expensive than if they could be bought directly in USA (or even Europe, if it's possible). I was also interested in some of these aquarium kits for example (here they are sold for like 3x of their USA prices.... and I'm a bit lazy to start from scratch!) but again, the best models are sold in stores that don't ship overseas...

I personally don't have the time to do this, but if you or other members here want to do research, you could post it, and I could make the thread sticky so that it stays at the top.

Yes I could do this but it would take some time to get a reasonably good list - would it be a betta-specific or general fish list? It could also have some kind of ranking or user comments (this can be applied to a general store list as well). From my experiences with online shopping, I've found that it's easier to find stores that ship overseas in Europe than in USA, but I have no idea where to start there...

Anything dealing with fish in general should be fair game.
As for rankings, you'd have to clear that with Rachel first. That's not my call.
You may want to check the Netherlands and Germany if you're looking at Europe. I know Germany is fairly big on aquariums, and I believe that the Netherlands is too. There are lots of hobbyists there, so logic says there should be stores there too.

Sure marcus, if you want to take the time to compile some good links we can do something with it. I'm not sure how well rankings would necessarily work, but a brief overview of what the site/company provides would be great. As for medications you may not always be able to find the American label, but looking for the key active ingredient is usually your best bet for products.

I've noticed that as we have a very active fish community (lots of tropical fishes come from Brazil), there are some very good and trustable meds here, and as you've said, one just has to look for the active compounds on them and it's easy to find similar products.
Yesterday I was doing some brief searches and found this place selling almond leaves, like $10 for 5 leaves or something... I think if I go to the right places to catch some leaves I can get rich in a few hours!

These were two sites that I found when doing a quick search (would have had more but I had to go to class). They ship internationally (just I wouldn't get anything live cause I wouldn't know what condition they'd end up being in) and have both freshwater and saltwater equipment. The prices shown in both are in American and you have to pay in American money. I don't actually do online shopping so I have no idea how good they are but thought it might help anyway. www.aquariumpros.com/www.marinedepot.netAnother site that would probably be good in getting things is ebay.

I wouldn't be purchasing any live stuff from these places for obvious reasons (I can get a CT from decent breeders for $5 here!), but sometimes these places are a good resource to find equipments and meds which might have better prices than locally (fishes definitely won't be cheaper). It's tricky though, one has to make some calculations first to check if it is really worthy to import something and get it actually cheaper than buying it from a local store. If we are lucky to not have the import taxes added (sometimes they charge in a sample basis, like a draw), then it can be really cheap.
Ebay hasn't been much friendly to non-US users lately I think - it's harder and harder every day to find sellers that ship internationally who are also selling new items. I don't blame them though, knowing that places like Brazil are among these with lots of credit card fraud and hacking reports.
