Hi! I know there was a thread started somewhere about decorations for the tank. I have a spice shaker (glass) from Walmart that is about 3 inches by 2 inches, and has a little handle on it, mimics a canning jar sorta. I also put in a T tube from Home Depot... I even filed down some mold lines that were probably ok with a nail file or buffer. He really likes hanging out in the T tube.. it was about $.47 or was it $.27- it was or is about an inch and a half around... not a big one... though I could get a bigger one with the bigger tank I just got.
SO my new aquirement... a recycled Vitamin C bottle... I know I would have to wash it well, no soap and would take the sticker off... it is #2 plastic... anyone have any thoughts? It would make a nice "dark cave." ;D
LJ and "the little tuna" that loves shrimp...

I would think it would be alright as long as you rinse it really well/soak for a while as you've mentioned to remove any trace of residue. I've used plastic items before, such as hamster tubes, and haven't had any problems with it being in the tank.
