I've got a situation here that I cant figure out what to do with lol. any tips are appreciated. Ok here we go. Right now I have : 5.5 Gallon Divided betta tank (cycled) 2.5 Gallon Betta Tank (unfiltered) 3 bettas total I want a community tank as well, that was my 10 gallon project I recently found a 10 gallon kit for $50 at a LPS, and it looks nice, and is a killer price because it includes the hood that I want! Now the thing is, I dont want to lug home for xmas break three tanks, so I was thinking... Get another divider, and make two parts to the left or right of the 10 gallon for two of the bettas, and make the other 8 gallons community, with one of my bettas. So when I go home I'll only have to worry about lugging one fish tank. Any suggestions?

Two gallons within a 10 gallon tank is a little restrictive for a betta -- mostly because the width of the section would be only 2.5" or 3" wide. You can always try to put your bettas with other fish, and if they don't work out, just put them in another tank.
