Since Dude passed, I was going to put my crowntail in Dude's 2.5 gal tank once it's cleaned out instead of in with the cories. But the side of the 10 gallon with the 3 panda cories seems a bit empty. Now I estimate they are probably in 6-7 gallons of the 10 gal. tank (apollo live in the other section). What do you think might go with the cories, something that likes the higher levels of the tank? One idea I had was a female betta, once I slow the flow of the filter. But I was wondering about my other options might be

Female bettas don't actually mind the current as much becuase they have shorter finnage and can swim stronger. While males have the huge fins that get caught in the current and drag them.

ok. I probably will put a bit of batting or filter pad in there to slow it a little. It'll take me a while to find a female locally. Might try Foster and Smith's affiliate when I get some more plants.

they have free shipping on orders 60$ or more till the 15th, good deal if you are looking for a lot of stuff

Yeah, I'm getting my heater and test kit from there, but not sure if it applies to the live things too
