Hello For my new tank, I wanted to cycle it with some starter fish... I was thinking about some tetras and some zebras... Now my question is, should I get neon tetras or white clouds? If I could mix both of them that would be great, but I'm not really sure if I could. I've also heard that the tetras are fin nippers.

Although I'm about to start recommending a snail cycle to people, whereby you don't risk any fish, but you don't need bio spira or ammonia either. Just some flake food for the snails to eat. In a nutshell: White clouds: cold water fish, from moderately moving mountain streams in China. Harder water with a higher pH. Neon tetras: tropical fish, from relatively slow moving amazon river tributaries. Soft water with a low pH. The next person on this forum who makes this statement is getting slapped with a wet trout I'm seriously considering making a sticky thread specifically for addressing this very statement.
