I was just wondering.... is the temperature 'very' important while cycling a tank? I only have 1 heater and it's in my hospital tank with Lucky. The temp in the cycling tank stays at 74. Is this too cold? I still have very high nitrites, so I'm assuming the bacteria isn't dying.

This means that you tanks will take more time to cycle. Since your guy seems to be doing ok in his smaller tank, I'd just leave everything as it is and let it take the extra time

Yeah, it's slow alright, lol. But I'm glad it's not completely useless, thanks! And you are right... I won't be moving Lucky until the tank is fully cycled and safe. He's doing so good now and things are finally under control. ;D
