I just wanted to make sure of something. When you change 50% of the water, do you only add 50% of the normal dose of water conditioner? That's what I've been doing, but I just wanted to make sure that's what I'm supposed to do so I didn't continue to do that if it was wrong and end up hurting my fish with chlorine. This is the first tank I've had that I haven't done 100% water changes with every time, so I'm kind of confused about how to go about this whole partial water changing thing!

Only add the amount of water conditioner for the amount of fresh water you're adding. You can OD some water conditioners without any ill effects, but you'll be wasting the product.
