Quasi's tank now has that bright green algae that won't just wipe off, you have to scrub it off. What causes this, and what are some good ways to get rid of it?

I'm lazy right now and i'm working with 3 hours of sleep, so this is my answer: 1. Too much light, too many nutrients. 2. Less light, less dissolved organic compounds. Razor blade for removal from tank wall (only if it's flat glass.) I don't know whether your tanks are cycled or not. Check ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. Get someone to test the phosopate concentration of the tank water (phosphates find their way in via processed food.) for more information: s94779296.onlinehome.us/website/Fish/faqs/algae.html
