I went to petsmart tonight with my girlfriend and bought a few things.
Well i was originaly going to buy some proper ph and a gravel hose, some blood worms and some new conditioner, but i ended up only getting the last 2. I dont feel confident enough yet to be screwing aroudn with my 7.4 ph and trying to bring it to 7.0. But here are some questions..
ive been reading older forum threads and some people like proper ph while some dont.. and some like seachem neutral regulator..
so, with my situation (tap water is 7.0, aged for a day goes to 7.4 [possibly higher?], which product is more likely to hold my ph at 7.0. when i get my 2 gal tanks ill be doing 100% changes every other week, and 50% chances once a week, if that makes sence.
Just wondering whats the better product to get, because i can get rid of the prime conidtioner if the prime condtioner + ph buffer will work just as well, if not better.. and holds the ph.
does the regulator do the sam ethings as the normal prime stuff? i know it says it does but im wondering if the neutral regulator still works the same way as the red prime bottled stuff.. the binding and what not.
edit: wow i heavly edited this post haha..

You'll need to test your GH and KH before that question can be answered. Based on personal experience, I like Seachem's Neutral Regulator...but it doen't get my tanks down to 7.0, just to 7.6 from 8.0.
Neutral Regulator will not bind ammonia like Prime does.

Ah nice, thanks. I guess I won't be trying that out for awhile. Good info, thank you. I have a feeling that ph proper doesnt hold ph at a stand still either at 7.0
Shoot, i cant remember who said they used this.. they might know.. ahhhhhh.
If anyone reading this uses proper ph, can you tell me if it keeps the ph at that certain level, or if it functions like teh seachem stuff does?
Thanks
