He's doing good. His hunch didn't respond at all to furacyn, maracyn 2, or melafix, so i'm going to quit medicating it and just watch it for changes. All the white in it has dissapeared, and the scales look normal...its just a blue bump now. Guess he'll be a hunchback for life LOL His tail is slowly returning to its former glory...he blew it after shipping and it disintegrated right down to a tiny stub, about half of it has grown back with the help of melafix. He doesn't play dead as much anymore PHEW...that was just too scary for me. I guess he was just wiped from his shipping ordeal and needed to be close to the surface so he didn't have to work to get air...but still pretty freaky when you check on your fish and he's half out of the water and WON'T move He is finally eating pellets. Right now he will only eat O.S.I. betta food, aquarian pellets, and Bio-Blend Betta...he like SMALL pellets, if he has to work to chew it, he spits it right out LOL He even considers Bio-gold 'big' So I'm happy to say this guy is going to be with me for a while...hunch and all. for those of you that missed his shipping saga...you can read about it here.

Good idea You really didn't have to use all those meds though...if it was an infection it would have killed him by now...1 month later there wouldn't have been much of a fish left for bacteria to consume

That's good to hear that he's doing better at this point.
