Hi, I am thinking of getting a pair of pygmy cories as tankmates for Horatio, but I'm wondering: assuming that all goes well and Horatio accepts them into his domain and they all get along, how do I go about FEEDING the cories without Horatio eating their food first? Any thoughts? Horatio is a little piggie! I'm feeding him 3 pellets of BioGold in the a.m., and 3 at dinnertime -- on weekends, he gets a pellet or two around 1:30 p.m. as a treat. He gobbles them down so fast, I'm not sure he has time to taste them! So.............has anyone else encountered problems feeding Betta tankmates? This is a 5 gallon aquarium. Thanks!!! sef

I would feed the cories something that sinks, and drop it into the water when Horatio isn't looking. Cories are pretty active, so they'll probably find it and chow down before the betta knows what happned.

i would add flakes i think while hes busy with his pellets, they sink quickly, maybe crumble them a bit so they do even faster, the corys will find them
