My blue betta doesn't like the Bettamin at all (or any other kind of flakes I had tried), but eats his pellets fine and the bloodworms too. Today I've got some samples of some other Tetra foods, and I decided to try the so famous TetraMin Pro with him. To my surprise, he went nuts. The first bit I gave him was a little large for his mouth but he didnt gave up and keep trying until it was done. Another flake (this time I tried to make it smaller), same behaviour. Ok, fine. Let's see if he has finally changed his mood and will accept some Bettamin... *spit* *spit*... tried a new flake of Pro... there he was again eating it like crazy. Go figure.
All the times I offered him the Pro I used a different kind of flake (a different colour), and all were accepted the same.

honestly, I don't know any bettas that actually like bettamin. Mine all hated it, even my fish in my community tank didn't really like it.

My red betta just eats Bettamin and bloodworms since I've got him. Probably both were fed pellets all the time while at the fish store, but the red got used to the Bettamin easily after the very first try. I didnt give him the Pro for dinner because his lunch was more than enough for him today.

My betta doesn't like Bettamin that much - what a waste that was. I started to just feed him Bettamin for a day, and he would pick at it, but never eat all of it. He really likes Betta Bites and Hikari Betta Bio-Gold, although when I first got him he wouldn't really eat the Betta Bites for a day or two before he liked them...maybe he was just getting used to his tank? Now he wolfs the pellet down as soon I put it in, and I can literally hear a "crunch" sound when he eats it. I heard you're supposed to soak them in water, but they sink like a few seconds after they are dropped in...and if the pellet is almost to the bottom, my betta won't eat it (or can't?).
Maybe I should try the Tetramin Pro and see if my betta would like it.

Is the TetraMin Pro specifically for bettas or is it a tropical fish food? Is it flakes or a crisp? Thanks

The Pro is in flakes. I don't think it is betta-specific.
