I've been using Novaqua and Amquel+ for a long time in all of my tanks. Last time I went online supply shopping I got a bottle of Prime to use when I run out of the other products. Will it cause my bettas a problem when I make the switch?

Nope =)
Although, I wouldn't recommend switching them from rgular to decaf...they kinda go crazy.

Cool, thanks Also, in another thread there was a discussion on Amquel+ vs. the "old" Amquel.... I have both on hand (due to a ridiculously active packrat syndrome I seem to suffer from ) - does it matter which I use, and are there any contraindications to using either? If I recall the thread correctly, the concern was that Amquel+ makes claims about removing stuff from the water that it doesn't appear to remove... as long as it neutralizes the chlorine and chloramines, I'm ok with it - although the ammonia claim is a big stress reliever for me. Any thoughts?

Basically, Kordon, the company who markets and distributes Amquel+, slapped claims on the label that said it dealt with nitrite and nitrate. Research shows that it really only masks readings on cheap test kits.
Amquel+ has a pH buffer in it, so you can use either one.

Ok, cool. So it does bind the ammonia? And I think "plain" Amquel says it does also...any problem with those claims, as far as you know?
