1.) What do you keep your betta in? (I'm asking this to you personally) How big is it? I did have a divided 10 and 2 5.5gal tanks for bettas, with changing curcimstances, we are going to try dividing a large tank with plexiglass for all four bettas. 2.) What do you use as substrate? Is gravel or sand better? I have had gravel, sand and bare bottom tanks. I hate gravel, i like sand for bigger community tanks, and for my bettas, I think bare is best. 3.) I already have some betta food. How much should you feed and how often? Thanks! I have tried a few different foods, and my boys will not eat flakes, and strangely, not one of them like FD bloodworms. I use Nutrafin basix Betta pellets, 4 pellets/betta 2X/day. They all love them, with an occasion treat of FD rainone Brine Shrimp. As for mixing chemicals from different companies...be very careful as that can be risky as there is now way to know what kind of reaction the mixing can cause.

If you're sure that your tap water has chlorine then use the stuff from kent, that should be sufficient. In the future, look to something like Prime or AquaPlus or Aquasafe.
