When I left for the pet store today, I thought about getting some medicated food I could use for the bettas if needed. My crowntail seems a bit prone to constipation or Swim Bladder Disorder, so I thought some thing that could be used for him if need be. However by the time I got to the store that sold it, I forgot what type of infection could be the cause (bacterial) and ended up getting the type for parasites (Jungle brand).
Now I've never had a fish with a parasite so far, except ich, so I was wondering, do you all think it is something that it would be worth me keeping? Or should I just return it for something more practical, like the anti-bacterial food or another type of medication?

A former member here recommended Pepso food for general use, to "clean the system"....I ordered it and I've used it several times when I was concerned about possible illness. The fish eat it readily, although Schuyler looks quite annoyed afterwards, as if to say "THAT wasn't my dinner, was it? "

See the crowntail as some issues with his system, don't know if it's because he's smaller, or it's a 'plumbing' issue. He seems to get constipated alot. Like today he's a bit bloated and has his fear stripes, even though he hadn't been feed since yesterday, and hasn't been moved since his last change. He has to be the most tempermental betta I've had.
I had to get it at Petsmart, and I think they only had the Anti-Parasite and Anti Bacterial, no Pepso.
