Sita, my big, bad Amazon chic died today. Bigger than any of my males, and covered in scars, I can only assume she was an old breeder when I got her, and who knows how long she spent in the tank at the store. The remaining of my orginal two females, she was a cranky old lady who terrorized her peaceful tankmate, Sati, but somehow managed to behave herself most of the time in my female dorm. However, late last week, Sita became lethargic. I moved her to her own bowl, but she slowly drifted away. The goddesses now rest beside each other in the flower garden. Shanti (Peace) Amber

Rest in peace little Sita. It sounds as though she had a rough life until you found her. At least she was able to live her last days in a place full of care and free from harm.

Thanks Bethie.
You're always so good about keeping up with the memorials and saying something. That's so nice of you, thank you.

So very sorry about your lady. It's amazing the large personalities that fit into their small bodies, and it sounds like Sita was an amazing character.
Rest in peace, Sita. You were a grand old gal.

Thanks.
I guess I should've pointed out that Sita is the blue on the right, and Sati is the pretty lil cambodian on the left. That picture was taken the first day I had them home, when they were still on good terms witrh each other. Ahh, what a sweet day that was...
