Goliath - "someone or something that is abnormally large and powerful" - realdictionary.com The day that I found Goliath, I just couldn't resist. I had never seen such a feisty little betta sitting in a pet store cup. He had blown a huge bubble nest and was wildly flaring at his neighbors. I just knew I had to have him. He was an amazing sky blue color that once released into his tank developed into a rich blue and blackish body with bright red ventral fins. Goliath was my little fighter. He went through a nasty case of Ich, had a phase of constant fin shredding, and recently starting having problems with water changes. He started showing signs of Ich again, but I was able to ward it off before he really became sick from it. I am not sure what caused my little Goliath to pass on, but I am glad that he is no longer suffering. It was devastating to watch his beautiful color fade to almost a pure white and to not know why. I will always remember the days of him wildly flaring at his neighbor or anything else for that matter, his huge bubble nests, his little wiggle dance, and his picky little Bio-Gold appetite. Goliath is the first betta that I have lost, but I know that he will never be forgotten. I know this picture is already posted in the Picture Pages, but it is my favorite. I think it represents him perfectly.. Rest in peace my little friend. Goliath -- January 8 - October 27, 2003

bethie, I'm so sorry that Goliath didn't make it. It's such a helpless feeling when we know something is wrong but we don't know what to do to make it better. Like I said before, I wish they could tell us where it hurts. He was a lucky little guy to have such a caring mom . R.I.P. Goliath

Bethie, I'm so sorry that you lost Goliath. What a brave little giant! I know how sad it is to lose a Betta friend, but you gave him a wonderful home during his time with you, and he had a happy life as a result of your love and care.
RIP, Goliath.
