Pretty tank. I love white clouds, they're such pretty, flashy little fish. I've always wanted to set up a tank with them, but the bettas always seem to take over any new tanks I get before I can even think about getting any different fish... Have you seen the Gold White Clouds? Very similiar to the originals, but with a goldish sheen over them. They're very pretty as well.

Very nice setup! I would find myself parked in front of that tank just watching and relaxing. LOL

Great tank! Do you have it heated? My husband is going to the city next week and has offered to swing by a pet shop to buy a 2.5 gallon filtered tank for me (can't get them anywhere around here). I want to put White Clouds in them, and set it up near Horatio's 5 gallon tank so that we can all enjoy them. LOL
Do you have any advice on caring for White Clouds? They have them at our local pet shop, and they look very peaceful. Do they normally max out at 1 1/2"? I was planning to buy 2 to start, and then add a 3rd after I see how the 2 do in the 2.5 tank. I am not going to heat it. Thinking I should do 100% water changes every 5 days unless someone here thinks I should do it more frequently.
Are the White Clouds at all interactive w/ you?
Again, great set up you have!

Thanks guys! I'm gonna be doing a water change and then taking pics, it's changed more since that pic. lol
Sef, it's not heated, they're coldwater fish, they like the temp in the 60s-70s. They're very easy to care for; I feed them Wardley tropical flakes, they're not picky on food; they like hiding places, alot of plants. I'm kinda iffy on a 2.5 for them, that's kinda small. They're schooling fish; I had 3 for about 3 months, I was cycling with those 3, and I've gotten 2 more this month, I've seen a big difference since I've added the other two. They zip around, chasing each other, having a good time. Can't do that very well in a 2.5, you know what I mean? When you don't have a proper school, they tend to pick on each other, or one picks on the others, etc. With my first 3, my female would pick on the other two males; now, with the 5, one of the new males picks on everyone else. And they say 6 makes a school, so I'm one short, and even just one short, there's still one picking on everyone else. (I was going to get 3 when I got these last 2, but they only had 2 left.) So, all in all, I'd say don't do it, 2.5 is just too small, IMO. And no, they're not interactive. I wish they were. They do know when they're getting fed. lol They're little pigs, too. But they are great fish, I love 'em. ;D

Glad I asked about the White Clouds. I thought they would be a great fish to have in a small tank, since our house temps are pretty cool and I'm a little skittish about heating anything less than 5 gallons. Oh well!
Looks like I may have to re-consider gerbils as a possible second pet! LOL

That is a beautiful set-up. How big is it? Still a little bummed that a small White Cloud set-up won't work, but hey -- more important for the fish to be happy and healthy than to do what suits us best! Wish I did have room for a larger tank, but 10 or 20 gallons would probably mean I'd just worry 2x or 4x as much! LOL

Thanks! It's a ten gallon. Believe it or not, it's no trouble whatsoever. I love it. It's much less trouble than a one gallon. I love this tank. I now have plans for a planted show tank in the works for our living room. We're going to be moving our tortoise out of her tank, she needs a bigger space, which will free up the 20 gal she currently has, so that tank will be used for the show tank. I'm so excited about it! ;D

I have 4 White Clouds and 2 Panda Corys in a ten gallon tank. I have heard that WC's spawn easily and don't eat their young. I am not interested in young right now. Do your WC's spawn and if so, do you ever see any of the babies. I want to get somemore of these fasinating fish and upgrade to a bigger tank, but as I said the baby thing has me worried. I just don't have the space right now. Thanks for any input you can give me. Great tank!

Actually, mine have never spawned. I've never seen eggs anywhere, or fry, and I don't think I would, anyway; the filter current is fairly strong. And I don't really have any good cover plants for them to lay eggs in. And I think my ADFs would take care of any eggs or fry.
