I would like to start breeding bettas. I am experienced betta owner...I have owned bettas for 4 years and I still have my first...Doofu...he is a old little man but he is so far doing okay...I would like to purchase some breeding stock and would like to know if anyone knows of a good place online to purchase them. Also, I would welcome any tips on set up etc. I have a fishroom currently but I am planning on cleaning out the walk-in closet and making it a betta breeding area. I plan on 2-10 gallons and several shelves for jars. Also underneath an area to grow food for them. If anyone has any pics of their breeding area...that would be great! Sorry for the long post... ;D

Breeders that I have personally had good experiences with/gotton really nice fish from: Marianne Lewis: www.bcbetta.comJim Sonnier: www.bettas-jimsonnier.comLephang: www.topbettas.comFaith: www.bettatalk.comJK808 on Aquabid I've botton from others as well, but those are the best that I've gotton fish from, and I think would be the best places to get started with breeding stock. Out of all of them I think I would recommend buying from Marianne. Her bettas are excellent quality, and they are very reasonably priced for the quality that they are. Her shipping and packing tecniques are wonderful as well, and she works with a very wide variety of colors and patterns, so your bound to find something you like!
