palepinkvase, Huron is just beautiful! His fins have healed up so well - I'm truly impressed I can see the spot by his tail but it doesn't look too bad - did you post pics earlier when you first got him (they say memory is the first thing to go - I can't remember!) - Anyway, I think you've done a marvelous job in healing him and his new home looks wonderful

Thanks. I was worried that he might not make it. It was scary and weird to see long strands of fin just fall off! I believe the earlier pics were posted with the Urgent thread I called 'Rescued fish with shredding fins'....I think. Your memory isn't the only one showing some age!

That was it!!! Yes, Huron definitely looks much, MUCH better...there was so much damage to that back fin, it's amazing how quickly (relatively) he has healed. Congrats!

Thanks again. I can say that after my experience with Huron, I am feeling more confident in keeping Bettas. Not to mention all the great info and the shared experience of others this forum has provided. Many thanks to everyone
