This appeared a few days ago in the front glass of my bigger tank: I couldn't match it with any reference pic of eggs of the same fishes I have: rams, corys and a neritina zebra snail. It looks a bit like eggs but there are about 15 of them only in this tiny white thing (it is less than 1cm long) I am not sure if these can be ram eggs because I read that they lay their eggs in the substrate, not on the glass although the male has been chasing the female in the last few days (it has stopped now). I don't think these are eggs of one of the common snails that come attached to plants (the neritina zebra can't have done this either because it's not an hermaphrodite I suppose) because they not only have disappeared/reduced their number in the last days but I think they also like to lay their eggs on leaves and when they do this on the glass (as apple snails do) it's always outside water. I am not sure how it goes with the corys though... I'm avoiding to clean the glass around this stuff to see what happens... but this definitely looks like eggs of "something".

Mine look a bit like some of the pics in the amanichem's link (although I have much less of these), and it seems that they have changed a bit from transparent balls to something more opaque and white-ish. They are really eggs of the most common snails because the other ones I've seen (apple snails for example) seem to be all pink or at least have some colour, which mine don't have. No signs of hatching so far...

ramshorn and other below surface layer's eggs are usually clear-ish, and Apple snail eggs will always be above the waterline.

Ok now I am really puzzled. I went to check them, and they're gone. Or they were eaten by the colisas or they have hatched, all I have now is the spot in the shape of the S but the little balls are gone. But... (drum roll please) I just saw another of these things, at the bottom right corner of the tank (opposite side of the previous), about 1 inch above the substrate. I could count them a bit better this time, and there are 7 eggs I think. I am really suspecting of something else other than regular snails... unless my neritina zebra is a she and already came with some fertilized eggs (they aren't hermaphrodites). There are absolutely *no* snails in the tank at the moment (visible ones at least) but the neritina.
*edit* After this a bit later I think I saw some very small critter swimming vertically like a little fry... no it's not a worm-like this time, it's much smaller (just one though)... it suddenly disappeared in the middle of the plants though... I am really suspecting that I might have some new babies around...

I think your tank is being inhabited by creatures and forces unknown. I suggest you consult your local witch-doctor, plumber, and carpenter to see if they can help.
Actually, I'd just wait and see what develops =)

I am really open for surprises. When talking to the guy from who I bought the plants last night (asking for some killies info, he sells them too) he said that he recently had an infestation of some frogs in some of his plant tanks and he just dumped his bettas there and all the eggs are gone... I'm sure that most of these strange things came with these plants (like the now gone snails), when I first placed them in the tank there was a dead spider trapped in some of the valisnerias I think... I commented it to this guy and he said "it's my favourite kind of spider" instead of saying something more natural like "sorry"... well I didn't order that spider at least... I think that with the colisas it would be a bit harder to see these things hatching (if they will hatch at all), the colisas eat or try to eat anything that moves/floats/sinks/whatever.
