Ok, it's late, but I decided to check email before going to sleep. House is quiet...not a sound anywhere...I stop typing a moment and hear faint popping sounds...sort of like little kissy sounds...I can't figure out what the sound is...I check the tv, radio, cat, dog... then out of the corner of my eye I see it: Mighty Man (who had a water change today and is in a great mood is busy building a bubble nest. And the popping sounds I'm hearing are his little mouth as he releases the bubbles on the surface! I know, I need to get a life but it was so darn cute! Just thought I'd share...

I have not had the oppurtunity to hear the building of any bubble nests! I like the idea of my Bettas "blowing kissies" to make their bubble nests.

One of my guys was always quite "loud" about his bubble blowing and we could hear it all the way from the other room. It is really cute when you figure out what that little noise is, isn't it? Kind of like how you can hear them munching on food if you listen close enough..

Rachel,
I've noticed that too! It was so funny the first time I heard it, I got my face really close to the tank and I saw his little jaw munching and now I always lisen for it!

I love it! My betta breathes and blows his bubbles so LOUD! I always listen to him. He's such a cutie!
