Getting to "Know You": Post your introduction here

Well, I have been here for awhile but I figure better late then never, so here it goes...

My Name is Teresa, I am 32 and I live in Alberta, Canada.

I have 1 hubby, 1 daughter, 3 sons, and 5 bettas.

I am a Royal Canadian Legion Member and school volunteer.

I am a full time mom and I babysit one little boy who is the son of my best friend.

I am fairly new to betta ownership, but am well and fully hooked on the little beauties.

You have probably seen the pics of my bettas on the pic pages, and have probably figured out that my weakness is for red and blue multi colored males.

I love dogs(which I can not own right now) and of course bettas (which are taking over the diningroom)

My(and my Hubby's) favorite T.V. shows are Survivor, CSI, CSI Miami and the Amazing Race.

As a family we enjoy camping, fishing, going to trade/hobby shows and playing darts.

I enjoy listening to country music and reading trashy romance novels and painting.

My favorite color is purple, my favorite flower is dandilions, my favorite smell is vanilla and my favorite taste is cinnamon.

Hmmm...think maybe I tend to overshare too? lol

Hi everyone! I'm new here, just signed up today!

Let's see..my name is Tanya, 23 years old, and I am from Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. We just moved here a few weeks ago actually. I am newly married and it's just the two of us, 1 cat and 1 betta right now.

We moved from Manitoba and because of the long drive, we gave away our fish tank to a friend who despertly wanted to try the hobby. We couldn't resist getting someone else addicted to fish, so we gave our entire tank and fish to him and promised ourselves that we would buy a new one.

I have owned Betta's for years and I just adore them. The one I have currently is fairly new to our family and he's just great.

Hmm what else...I am a complete animal and nature lover. We live quite close to the mountains and I like to drive there and spend the day for writing inspiration. Currently I am working on a fantasy novel.

I look forward to posting here and meeting all of you!

Hi! My name is Kayla. I'm from Louisiana, United States. I'm seventeen and college-bound! I've had bettas since I was little. My parents figured they'd give me something I could 'oo' and 'ah' over without as much hassle as a dog, cat, or some other animal kids love to dream of having. I've probably had seven bettas in my whole lifetime. I currently lost two bettas: one to I don't know what (maybe old age) and the other to ich. At that time I decided to set up my old 10 gallon tank, which I had took down after my last angel fish died about two years ago. That was about a month ago and now I've got five tetra, two mollies, and a handful of ghost shrimp in there. I'm getting a crowntail betta this coming Thursday from a local petstore, and I'm just excited.

Nice to be here and I'm thankful for everyone's opinions and/or advice. :}
