I've been here for about a month now, and aside from the very few details about myself in the "getting to know you post" most of you probably have no idea who I am.
So here's a page with a bit more information about me:

And here's my fish website, for your reading pleasure:

And here's a history of me and fish:
Well I've kept bettas for roughly four years, but I don't currently have any =)
I've been in the aquarium hobby for 12 years now (I'm 21) and bettas just of the many types of fish I've kept. I started when I was 9, and my first aquarium was a 15 gallon, tropical tank. Yes, I was one of those kids who killed his county fair goldfish.
For most of my life I've been helping my parents maintain our goldfish/lily ponds. This actually predates when I actually got a real tank.
I learned the fundamentals of the hobby from my father, and it was nice to have someone who lived with me who knew what he was doing.
The summer between my junior and senior year in high school I started working at a PetCo and I spent three years there. I was an aquatics specialist among other things and I gained insight into managing a large scale aquatic operation, and maintaining substandard equipment and electrical systems (really, the BLEEP things were dangerous if you didn't know what you were doing.)
I also got to see how the retail fish industry works, at least from the retail side. Since there were fish there that I had never previously kept, or couldn't afford to keep, I was lucky in that I could gain experience with a wider number of species than I had kept on my own.
I also began making connections between what I had learned in school (chemistry, biology, and physics) with the workings of an aquarium.
So here I am now. I don't know everything there is to know about fish, and there are certainly plenty of people who are better than me, but I still am very experienced, and
As for my strenghts and weaknesses:
I'm very good with diseases and chemistry, as some people have already found out. I pick up on things quickly, and committ them to memory immediately. Most times I can't even remember when I learned something -- because it feels like I was born with it all.
I do have a good ability to cut through nonsense, and filter out the good info from what's just BS.
Fish wise, my weaknesses lie in advanced reef keeping, and advanced cichlid keeping -- I just haven't done much of either. I also don't have extensive experience with plants. I can easily keep a few types alive, but I haven't kept nearly as many types plants as I've kept fish. They weren't something I had the sense, or money, to spend on when I was younger.
My strengths are just about everything else not listed under weaknesses. Simply put: I have a good sense of the knowledge that applies to fish in general, and numerous other bits of information. Chances are if you can ask it, I can answer it.
