I got my new betta yesterday (the redish one, not the white one:)) and when it's mirror time his gills seem to come out a lot more on this right side than his left side. Is this a problem?
It's kind of hard to focus in on this happening, so sorry no pics.
Also his pec. fins are almost double the size of a normal bettas.

he may have injured his gill cover on that side. I had a betta that only one side would ever flare. Keep an eye on it...it could be fine, or you could just have a 'one-sided flarer' PS he's BEAUTIFUL!!! what neat coloring.

Thank you for the response! I hope he's ok, he's awesome. He flares at the red light that comes out of my camera when I'm aiming it, and now I think he associates the camera with me.... so now he flares when he sees me lol. That will change once he realizes that Im the food keeper ;D
