I've noticed as of late that my little Pearl is getting a bit swollen and lopsided when swimming right after I feed him. I have tried limiting the amount I feed him, but that doesn't seem to help either. It isn't water quality or temperature as my other fish, Blue, who shares the divided tank has no problems. Pearl is a small fish, could he possibly just have chronic swim bladder, or trouble digesting his food? He is always swimming fine by morning. Should I try feeding him peas more often, perhaps as much as a bit with every meal?

some are a bit more susceptible. My crowntail would always get like that. Try feeding them a mix if you don't already. I give betta bites, betta bio gold, bloodworms and brine shrimp to mine, and I've not noticed him having the problems any more. If you feed twice a day, maybe try feeding him just once a day and see if it helps.
If you give him peas, do the pea as a meal, not in addition to. I can only get them down to so small, and it's a full meal in itself.
