Hey everyone...I've been gone awhile. I''ve got a new job and I'm working 40+ a week, so I've been busy. How has everyone been?
Well, to give you a report, my Betta is doing very well. I got him a 2.5 gal tank a while ago. I just recently started converting it to a live plant tank. He likes it SO much better. He is so happy. I got some of that special clay gravel to mix in with the regular stuff and I got some plant nutrient stuff. The plants are doing pretty well, too. I got a few baby snails that I didn't notice untill about a week ago when they started getting bigger, but there are only 3 so far.
I also changed my 10 gal around. It seems over crowed when you look at the numbers, but I've actually got a good balance going. It's wierd.
I have:
3 tiger barbs
2 bala sharks
1 YoYo Botia
1 Clown Loach
1 Pleco (who's getting too big now)
and here's the kicker...
I still have two of my original Neons in there. Now, don't freak out. I was going to take the Neons out...BUT...everyong gets along. The Neons are about 1 inch now, and they hold their own just fine. They are right in there with the other fish at feeding time. They don't seem afraid at all. I realize I'm probably just lucky, but hey...I"m going to run with it.
I've had my tank like this for quite while now too, and I'm not seeing any signs of problems with overcrowding or fighting or anything. No more illnesses...nothing. (knock on wood)_
So yeah...gotta go right now...but I'll talk to you guys later.
