Right now I've got a filtered and heated 10 gallon tank with one betta and three small peppered corys. I'm thinking of adding a couple or more ghost shrimp to the community, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. I'm away from home at least two full days each week, and that's why I've chosen to keep a betta and corys. The betta is fine without food for a couple days, and I feed the corys sinking wafers which I've been told should hold them over for awhile as well. Does anyone know how often ghost shrimp need to be fed? Perhaps they'd be fine if I didn't add food to the tank for a couple days, as long as I dropped an extra wafer in the tank before leaving?

Ghost shrimp are around the same as fish when it comes to eating habits. They're opportunists, and will eat when the opportunity is there. While it won't kill the fish to go two days without food, doing so on a regular basis might not be the best thing. Can you have someone feed the fish while you're away?
