I'm moving to a new place with more space, and since I recently lost a five gallon tank I need to buy a new one. I'm thinking upgrade! 10 or 20 gallon tank.
The current community fish I have are two oto cats and six cherry barbs, who have all been cohabitating in a temporary five gallon, uncycled, while I'm in my temporary home (they're all doing surprisingly well. Last time I put them together I had to remove the barbs because they were harrassing the catfish, and this time they're all one big happy family). I'm moving this Saturday, and I want to be able to settle them into a new tank ASAP. I've also got one displaced betta.
I am thinking about a 20 long, but there are possible space constraints, so the basic tank I'm going to go with is a 10. What other fish would cohabitate well with cherry barbs and oto cats, or am I basically at my stocking limit for a 10? I do want to plant the tank, but that's going to have to come later.
Note: the cherry barbs, they eat everything. It's amazing.
Lastly, what sort of filter would be best for a 10 gallon? I'm not worried about heaters; I have like, six 25-watt heaters lying around, so I'll have one on each side.

Without any live plants, you're almost at the limit...another pair of cherry barbs would max it out.
What kind of filter do you currently have?

The filters I have currently only work for 5 gallons; they're the Azoo Palm filters.
I want a Bio-Wheel, but I don't see any filters that are sized for a 10, only up to 20.
Lastly, since the cherry barbs eat everything, how can I make sure that my otos are getting enough food?

Try feeding the otos at night when the other fish are asleep.
