So what color is this algae? Brown, red, blue-green, green?
Is there any algae living suspended in the water, or just on the glass?
Providing me with the following information would be very helpful:
1. ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings 2. what type of food your fish get 3. how many hours of light the tank gets each day 4. whether or not the tank is near any natural light sources 5. your water change routine, and the last time a major water change was made 6. phosphate level if you have a test for it
