My betta Doofus is 3 years old and it seems like he is having trouble seeing his food sometimes when I feed him. He will circle the food and eye it, try to get it and misses. He can see because he flares at my finger if I move it up to the tank. but, it seem like on eye is weaker than the other. I don't see naything physically wrong with him and he seems fine otherwise. He has been eating enough because he does eventually get the food but he has to try a few times. He usually can get it in the first try. Tell me, has anyone heard of a betta going blind in his old age? This is a picture of the handsome old guy....

He's a beautiful old boy, Doofusmom! I have some bettas who are only middle-aged, that I know could use progressive lenses at this point in their lives! (They do the same thing, swim right up to the food & then bite a gulp of water.) Let's just hope as our finned friends get older, that they don't experience the same aches & pains as their human keepers!
