I just bought a 20 gallon tank. and put in two fresh water puffers, two little fish with red heads, a little snail and a big snail, and my old cory. well the biggest puffer keeps biting chunks out of my cory, and he ate most of the snail. now hes trying to catch up with the red heads. Is this normal? Can it kill my cory? Puffers are carnivorous. Keeping them with smaller fish isn't possible. The fish with the red heads sound like rummy nose tetras. Again, an inappropriate tankmate for puffers.

Again, an inappropriate tankmate for puffers. but they were all in the same tank at the store. and my cory is like 4 times bigger than the puffers. And only grumpy nips at the tails, bashful (my smaller puffer) is really nice and just swims around the plants, not causing any trouble at all

dont fresh water puffers do best in brackish water aquariums and estuary type conditions anyways? Calling a fish "Freshwater" or "brackish" or "marine" is just a general term for fish that live in a range of salinities. The salinity of the water will depend on what species you're keeping. Doing research will help you find the correct salinity for your fish.
