He just ate a piece of food that was stuck to my finger for the first time.
The second time i tried it, he flared just his gils and went for it but missed.. aha..
I wonder why he flared his gills at me but not his fins?
I didn't realize how small my guy is. My girlfriend said hers is about 1/3 - 2/3 bigger then mine, and she isnt the greatest betta owner! (I persuaded her to buy a plant or hidey for him instead of the crap the pet store sold her mom). Also, my moms friends betta is alot bigger too.. though he's about 2 years old and quite the toughie.

What a waste. he doesnt like the red flake and brine shrimp food i bought him! maybe he'll lik eit at some point. he keeps spitting out the flakes, which i kinda figured.. but he ate 1 brine shrimp.
Do you guys feed them blood worms? I heard somewhere i thought that they might have some bad chemicals in them or something befor ethey are freeze dried.. i was going to get that instead but i got this stuff..

i feed bloodworms, i just don't feed them all the time...more like a treat.
As has been discussed in other threads: I have yet to meet a betta that truly likes those BettaMin flakes...mine would have all rather starved to death than eat them.

Yeah, I think I've only had one betta ever who would eat Bettamin, but then again he would eat absolutely anything given to him. I feed bloodworms quite a few times per week to my guys and they love it. I tend to use bloodworms in gel though rather than freeze-dried.
