Hi, I'm posting this on the Urgent board, because I'm trying to find some sort of live food that I can order for Bernie first thing in the morning. He seems to be rallying a little this evening, so I'd like to try something new -- live food soaked in the Discomed. This is actually the way the med is designed to be used (with live food), rather than w/ preserved or flake, but you can use those instead if you don't have fresh or frozen. I'd like to take a stab at live if I can find it, or frozen as a second choice. Maybe if it's more palatable and can absorb more of the med, it might be more effective than using the Zooplankton and flake.
Can anyone recommend a seller that doesn't sell in HUGE quantities and can get it to me fast?
Thanks for any suggestions, sef

Are you near a Petland Discounts? Mine usually has blackworms.
If you can't get live, try soaking freeze-dried bloodworms in the medication. It will soak up the med fairly well. When I medicate a betta, I usually put the medicine in a cup and put grindals or white worms in to soak for awhile. I'm never certain the worms absorb the medication but I feed them anyway.

Hi, Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, no -- not near a Petland or any major (or minor) pet store. We live in the boonies, I'm afraid, I did try the FD bloodworm trick, though, but Bernie wouldn't touch them. I let them soak overnight, then tried to feed him a few tiny pieces. Nothing. I'm thinking I might try it again, now that you've mentioned it, because I added 1/4 tsp. of clam juice to the med mixture -- someone once suggested that it might make the medication more palatable. Thanks again, sef
