Just wondering: Do you have a separate turkey baster for each of your tanks? If not, how do you "sterilize" them in between uses?

Since I have 2 tanks, I only have 1 turkey baster. I prepare hot or boiling water before I get ready to suck out gunk, and between tanks I rinse it well.

With drugstore alcohol and a paper towel. Like regular rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol? And should I let the baster air dry after using the alcohol, or should it be rinsed first? All I've used on the turkey baster thus far is boiling water (and that's not always practical). I've used alcohol to clean tanks and heaters, by wiping the surfaces, letting dry, then rinsing with hot water. Is this a good method, am I missing a step or performing overkill? Thanks ~ |

When the dr. gives you or your kids a shot, what does he/she do? Wipes the area, the alcohol evaporates.

True. But all things that are fine for me are not fine for my betta, so I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks - I'm off to buy more alcohol.... That didn't come out exactly right.......  |
