Has anyone here used BettaMin? I was looking for BettaBites, but couldn't find it on the same site as some other products that I needed.
Please tell me BettaMin isn't an inferior product....I wanted something to provide a little variety with the BioGold pellets.
Thanks.

LOL Well... I doubt it's an inferior product in reality, but your betta may think so... Bettas have a tendency to dislike flakes, and BettaMin is, for the most part, flakes. There are also little shrimp chunks. Yum, lol Amber

I wondered about that. Of course, the way Horatio wolfs down food, I'm not sure he'd even realize what it was! ;D
Do you know if any of the other Tetra foods are any better? As I think about it, our local BigK carries the BettaMins and something else....a freeze dried shrimp or something. I may just run over there tomorrow, instead of ordering it on line; that way, I won't be out as much $$ if he turns up his little nose at it.
LOL
Thanks!

I have Tetra freeze dried shrimp, and freeze dried bloodworms, and they're fond of both of those Amber

It all depends on the betta. Unfortunately, you won't know if he will eat it until you actually buy it and try to feed it to him. My betta are too spoiled, they totally turn their noses up and anything freeze dried LOL. It's almost as if they are saying, "You have got to be joking, I'm not eating THAT!" LOL
sef, If you want to try a few different foods, email me or send me a private message with your address and I will mail you some samples that you can try on Horatio and see if he likes them before you buy.

Hi,
I tried BettaMin, but my bettas did not like the flakes and the little shrimps tended to sink and they couldn't get them. I don't like anything that sinks. In addition to Bio-gold, I feed HBH Betta Bites which are sold at Petco and Petsmart in So. California. Wal-Mart carries Aqua Culture bites which are the exact same thing, made by the same company.
