Hikari Betta Bio-Gold is what I feed mine.... I am thinking about ways to mix it up but for now that is it.

My boys are awfully picky. They will only eat Hikari Bio-Gold pellets. We are trying to find some other things they like. No one liked the FD bloodworms. Some liked the FD Daphnia. No one likes flakes.

Some flakes came with my aquarium, so I tried them just to see if Ghoti would eat them, but nope. So far he's gotten pellets. I'll probably try him on some other betta treat stuff soon, but right now, he chows down on the pellets like crazy. He even ate only a few hours after I brought him home -- obviously stress doesn't hurt his appetite!

No dry food of any kind for my boys. They eat blood worms and brine shrimp right now with pea once a week and this weekend we're adding Mysis Shrimp and beef heart to the diet. (extremly nutritious)

My Gilbert (RIP) ate only Hikari BioGold pellets...didn't like the fd blood worms. My newest (Albert) hasn't eaten much, I just got him Friday night. He refuses the fd blood worms...and spits out the watersoaked biogold pellets. This am I fed gave him 2 non presoaked pellets..and he gobbled them up and did not spit them out!! So...I guess I stop presoaking them? I only tried this for him, not Gilbert, after reading that others presoak them so they'll expand outside of the stomache. I guess they are too mushy for him. I would like to try some of the frozen foods, but don't know enough yet....

This is what I feed my bettas including fry.
Weekly Diet Morning----------- Evening
Sunday Homemade Gruel*----- Mysis Shrimp
Monday Brine Shrimp ------ Grindals
Tuesday Blood Worms ------ White Worms
Wednesday Brine Shrimp ------ Grindals
Thursday Blood Worms ------ White Worms
Friday Homemade Gruel ------- Mysis Shrimp-fresh
Saturday Pepso food or fast or Frozen Daphnia
======================================== I only feed pellets as a "treat" and only one or two. I feed fd bw's as a treat but would feed it over pellets anyday. I feed the grindal and white worm cultures pellets but they seem to prefer spirulina flakes.

I tried flakes, but I really couldn't stand them. It was messy, hard to clean out of the tank, the boys would never eat all of it because most of what they would eat came out their gills. I alternate breakfasts, two Hikari Betta Bio Gold pellets or one Wardly Betta Pellet. (I only give them one Wardly pellet because they tend to be larger. You also have to be carefull when you drop them in as they're not as boyant as other pellets. But the boys really seem to like them.) For "dinner", I give them some rehidrated organic "Just Peas".

Hikari bio-gold. I average a 68hr work/study week so I don't have as much time as I like to pamper Furious George Will try to phase in some FD bloodworms though.

My bettas mainly get pellets (many different kinds) and every once in a while some betta flakes. About once a month, my dad buys live brine shrimp and they get some for a few meals. I tried live blackworms once and while the bettas loved them, I probably won't get them again because the portion was too large and none of the other fish could eat them. They also get freeze dried bloodworms, freeze dried tubifex, frozen brine shrimp, and frozen bloodworms. I almost out of frozen foods so they will be trying some new kind in a few days. The girls in my 55g community tank will probably be "treated" to guppy fry a few times a month.
