I know that you can feed betta white worms but can you feed them earth worms like the ones out of your Garden I just got little Jasper today and thought if I wash earth worms and feed it to him it would be more convinent and cheeper than white worms or blood worms?

Eathworms are a very rich source of protein for bettas. You can feed your betta earthworms. I never did but know someone who did. He cultured them in a plastic shoe box. Breeders who breed the larger species of bettas including some mouth brooders feed earthworms.
(1) You must be absolutely certain that they haven't been exposed to garden pesticides or other pollution. (2) rinse worms in water to remove soil. (3) The earthworms must be cut up into tiny betta-bite pieces. This will look messy, real bloody and disgusting. (4) your bettas will love them!
Let us know how this works out for you.

If I were going to culture them, here's what I'd do. Get a large size plastic shoebox with lid. Fill up with sterile planting mix. Cut some small holes in top that the worms can't crawl out. Wash some worms in water and add to the culture. Add slice of bread.
If you dice them up, bettas enjoy and thrive on earthworms.

I never thought of this, but what an interesting idea! I might have to try it one of these days.

I would say they should be cut to about the same size as a betta pellet, and you should feed about the same amount as pellets (6-8 pieces, divided into 2-3 feedings), although maybe a bit less as they're pretty rich.
