Hello, I just bought some Hikari Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp for my bettas but the cubes are huge! I know to feed them only once a week as a treat. So how much do i give to my bettas if the cubes are huge? Do i just crumble a peice off?
Confused, Erica

I'm not sure because I've never fed them, but my guess would be to break off a small piece and crumble it up into very small pieces. Perhaps soaking them for a few minutes before feeding to see how large they become when they expand will help you to judge what the appropriate amount to give them would be.

I break off a very small piece and feed it to them. In water it will break apart extremely easy when your betta goes after it. Your biggest problem will probably be feeding them too much at one time because it's hard breaking off such a small piece. That's why it's extremely important to remove any of the uneaten food. The freeze dried brine shrimp is the only food that I feed that I have to worry about scooping out uneaten food because of pieces (pellets and bloodworms don't last long around my guys).

I break off a peice in my hand and give them about 3 shrimp a peice.(along with some dust from the cube)
