Alrighty then!
I am just having an odd day with my Bettas.
The new boy, Jelani, is doing something I have never seen before. He has been working at the gravel in one corner all day and has worked a hole about his size down to the glass and now is laying in it!?!?
He does go up for air and he did eat fine but this is perplexing me.
Is this normal behavior or am I missing something?

my girlfriends betta pushes the marbles up to the sides of the vase, making some what of a canyon. I think they are fine, just making somewhere to hang out.
Does your fish have many places to hide? if not that might be what he's doing..
or..hes a little fufu and redorating!
Mine just pushes a few rocks away in order to find the shiny marbles i hide for him

My boy Boris has a hidey, and 4 plants in a 2.5 gallon. He has a smattering of marbles. But he still likes digging down in there and rolling them around - he gets bored, I guess!
