I was wondering if anyone here has ever used Aquarisol as a net dip and if so, how did you mix the solution? It says on the package that to use as a net dip, use one teaspoon for 10 gallons, but I wasn't planning on using (nor do I HAVE) a 10-gallon container just to disinfect my net. Also, how long do you let it set in there to become disinfected?

Hi, I will preface this by saying I only used Aquarisol as a net dip one time, and wasn't dealing with a specific illness at the time, just trying to practice "safe net sharing". And I no longer use a net to scoop my bettas, not because of a problem but they get less stressed with a cup.
If you do the math, 1 tsp = 5 ml per 10 gallons, which works out to 1/2 ml per gallon. I used a one gallon bowl, filled it with water, added the 1/2 ml of Aquarisol and mixed well, then let the net soak for 5-10 minutes, then rinsed well with tap water.
I had no problems, but my bottle doesn't indicate recommended times or anything either...made me feel like I was doing the right thing, anyway.

Thanks! I'm not dealing with a specific disease either, I'm just, as you said, trying to practice safe net sharing. Unfortunately, I am utterly HOPELESS at any form of mathematics so I could not for the life of me figure out how to mix the stupid solution in less than 10 gallons of water! *LoL* Thank you very much for the reply, it really helped me out!

Hi, And I no longer use a net to scoop my bettas, not because of a problem but they get less stressed with a cup. I'm planning to use a net exactly for the opposite reason - the "cup chase" seems to be very very stressing to my bettas. Plus, they always win.
