I haven't really posted anything here in a while, and I thought I would let you know how everyone is =)
I'll start with Donatello, I guess. It's been two monthes since I added him to my 10 gallon tank along with 3 otos, 6 black neons, and 3 bronze cories. I've had no casualities yet in my new tank, and he really hasn't had any problems with any of the tankmates, except I do catch him sneaking around with the cories, looking for food. His fins used to be sort of ragged, but ever since I added him, I've seen an improvement in them. He darts around the tank a lot, but every once in a while, I catch him resting on a leaf or on the bottom of the tank. I guess he's getting old. I have had him since August. He has popeye in one eye, and it hasn't gotten worse nor better since I've had him. I must admit though, that one eye gives him a lot of character, and I guess thats why he's amusing to watch. He's kind of tame due to the fact that I have to resort to feeding him by hand. The tetras love to steal his food =P
My new guy, Rocky, is doing great. He's in a 1 gallon aquarium with plenty of plants and a hidey. When I purchased him, he was missing a chunk of his tail. It's slowly but surely growing back. He's beautiful too, red and yellow body, red fins with evenly distributed streaks of blue, dark eyes. He's quite aggressive, thus the name Rocky, and always flares at me when I come in the room. I'm planning on upgrading his tank to a 5 1/2 gallon, so I don't have to worry about his water temperature raising and falling (it usually goes from 72 - 78 and back down again overnight) and my 1 gallon is kind of unsightly. One side of it is scratched and covered in something sticky that won't come off (this is on the outside of the tank.) I can almost afford the 5 1/2 gallon tank, and then all I need is gravel and a heater.
So thank you guys for all of the help you've given me in the past. I wish I had a digital camera so I could show off my boyfriends. I hope Don can hold off until Christmas time, so I could show him off to you guys.
Thanks again.
