I'm Wondering If I Can Put A Goldfish In With My Betta. The Tank Is Heated And Has A Filter And Stuff Like That. If I Can't Put A Goldfish In With It What Can I Put In It? Also After I Have My Air Thing On For A While My Fish Seems To Start Swimming Around On His Side Like He's Dying But A Few Minutes After I Turn It Off He Goes Back To Normal... Is Something Wrong?

no, goldfish and bettasd don't mix.
how large is your tank, and does your betta have anywhere to escape from the current of the "air thing"?

With a 3 gal? I would think your tank is full then. But if you really want a betta buddy, how about an apple snail or ghost shrimp? I have noticed that many have had luck with both. I had tried bottomfeeders myself and that was a tailshredding disaster so just be real careful about what you choose to go with your betta.

Even if you wanted to, a goldfish does not belong in a 3 gallon tank...they need 10gallons minimum. In a three gallon tank, your choices are limited...as Theresa reccomended, snails or shrimp are most likley going to be your best bet. Most bottom feeders like to be in groups...and you don't have enough room for a group of them. You can get a LOT of shrimp...they don't really affect the bio-load. Another option is an African Dwarf frog, but they are hard to feed and messy...so your tank maintenance will have to be up to speed. If you want 'more' fish, stay away from bettas (who like to be solitary) and get a bigger tank

no, you don't need special food for shrimp...they scavenge the bottom of the tank.

Make sure that the African Dwarf frog is smaller than the betta. My mom's frog ate her betta and they were almost the same size. If it was the same size as a betta, then it wasn't an african dwarf frog. There's another fully aquatic frog that finds its way into pet stores. And this other type doesn't stay nearly as small. True dwarf frogs will be no bigger than a quarter.
