Well my science class had some extra mosquito fish and I remember last year when I put one with draco and he ate it, well I was wondering is it ok to let him eat some this year i have about 5 of them

This looks like the Betta I have I am still trying to get pictures on hear of him I named him red. You have a very nice looking fish. Ginny

well I geuss its ok i fed him a little one and right now theres one hiding in the plants. Its like watching a jaws movie but with a betta and misquito fish, and the "jaws" wins everytime" ;D

Live food is fine for bettas provided two things:
1. it's not too large 2. the fish it's eating are parasite free and healthy

Live food is fine for bettas provided two things: 1. it's not too large 2. the fish it's eating are parasite free and healthy they're not even half an inch long, they look healthy to me, but how do you tell if they have a parasite or not?

Unless you're taking tissue and stool samples and examine them under a microscope, you can't tell for sure. However, you can make sure that the feeder fish are healthy, and kept in good conditions, and that you practice good quarantining and sterilization procedures.
